message to the grassroots

i've got a surprise for you today .... a ten minute 15% off sale.
i'll be announcing it on my twitter and my fanpage :)

Ashlan Gorse, of E! news, rocked our "key to the city" studs while she read the news this weekend :)

how f'n awesome is that?!

my homegirls of Kleur Nail Collective did a full FLY set on a customer this weekend who just happened to be rockin' a "mama ring." i love that they looked out for me snapped this photo - and just peep that set!

click the photo to find them and schedule an appt!

my honey's been designing a most amazing website for me over the last couple of months.

it launched last week, and it's exactly what I wanted. it's a family affair up in here :)

found this photo of me swimming around the net from one of my previous trunk shows...
i swear that vintage wool cape was my best Ebay purchase, to date.

i've gotta show love to the beautiful women who support me. they are the spirit of my biz.

a gorgeous, custom designed wooden Africa ring.

on the set of Jesse Boykins' latest video. look at aaaall that lovely brown skin!

Songbird Mara Hruby (in both photos, far right in 1 st photo) with Downtown $weetheart Va$htie in NYC in my "vision studs."
I <3 both of these women because they realize it's not their place to work for others, but to pursue their dreams. And they are DOING it.

I'm really feelin' layers in the lab this season. Check our new stackable bracelets:

these match perfectly with our "cursive graffiti" necklaces.

we're customizing nameplates and zodiac necklaces in the lab now.... Luna chose "femme," and she looks gorgeous in it.
...almost like a little pink tattoo.

what will you choose?

fellas!!!

accessories those strong necks and wrists of yours this Summer with my "Fela" collection.

trying new things is a constant in the PI Labs.

this one of a kind cheetah/agate necklace is going up in the boutique today :)
i've never seen such a beautiful purple hue.

both of these fly, chaotic charm necklaces sold a day after they were listed. i love when you guys just flow with me and my weirdness.

love you guys!

the moors...

hey good folk :)
blogging more than once in two days? stop it now....

i have new items to introduce you to!

these are all brass, black, stud earrings w/ 2 chains that drape at 6 and 8" respectively.
they are lightweight, and a dope twist in the current wing trend.

the entire piece is constructed by hand, by me.

these feathers are from my personal collection.
there are a TON of them - and I rock only the one.
in the other ear? a bossy stud, or life stud.

i rock colorful feather earrings year 'round -- regardless of weather.
they are fun, unique and make passers-by smile.

this necklace is a one of a kind ode to Egypt. Egyptians favored blues and reds and use of gold-toned metals.

the stones are very old lapis, African brass and carnelian. the chunky chains is vintage brass - the semi-circle component was stolen from an old necklace.

fiancee has a new night in LA @ the Blu Monkey on Hollywood Blvd! Tonite he'll be accompanied by the dope vocals of Wafeek ... come through. I'll be there .. the music will be GREAT .. and the spot is laid back. no dress code, with a dope patio around back.

but don't worry.. there won't be any women tied up on tables, with creepy guys lurking in the shadows. *side eyes this ENTIRE flier*

Museums....

I love them.
Every Tuesday, here in San Diego, you can find a different museum offering free days.

Yesterday at the Museum of Man, I saw an amazing Egyptian Exhibit.

I learned a lot, and felt inspired when I left.

I just want to lecture to you on everything I learned.. but who has time for that?

My new creations are inspired by what I saw yesterday. Take a journey with me....

Maat: The concept of order, truth, regularity and justice which was all important to the ancient Egyptians. It was the duty of the pharaohs to uphold maat.

Maat was most often represented by a feather in hieroglyphs.
These tiger feathers are bonded to brass chain, and accented by brass and gold.

Nu: A swirling watery chaos from which the cosmic order was produced. In the beginning there was only Nu.

How can you not observe these stunning faux South African baole beads (w/sterling silver accents) and not see water; feel its force.

These are 4" total, all accents are sterling silver.

...and here is an updated photo of the gorgeous feathers I posted yesterday. I don't think these will last too long on the site, so don't wait! I can only make 1.
