"aint nobody fightin' cuz ....

...nobody knows what to say."

on repeat:
"winter in America" Gil Scott Heron (we will MISS you)

we're playing with Kyanite slabs in the lab. (good for opening the third eye chakra, associated with the throat chakra, very calming and holds NO negative energy)

rimmed in 24 kt gold. i love how raw these look.
this is my pair. i might offer them to you in the next couple of weeks :)

the kid was featured on Soul Train yesterday. shoutout to my girl Ayara for this!!

here's some new goodies I made for myself, that will be listed in the boutique as soon as I can find the time to make more!

it, and the rest of my inventory, got rave reviews at UCLA.
that entire weekend was just as invigorating as it was tiring!
i made incredible connections,
and it was a welcomed change from being holed-up in the lab so many hours a day.

you start to miss the human contact.
who knew?!
working 8 hours a day for someone else, I was sick of that shit.

...and I found one of my shots floating around Tumblr this weekend...
they even added a fly effect to it.

i dig.

i think i may get some limited edition prints in the works.

PI Jewels also found a new home in one of best boutiques in LA, hands down.
I can't release the name yet... but soon :D4

Stay up!

C.

whew!!!

i'm so sorry my blogging habits have sucked so much lately.
it's been one show after another.

i work on five orders,
then prep inventory.

work on five orders,
more inventory.

i'm challenging myself hard, and loving every minute

low end theory

Full Moon.

Keep those thoughts positive, and always be aware of the effect your actions, company and thoughts are having on your frequencies. If there is something you're doing that doesn't "feel" right, stop doing it.

the past ten days have made me realize that mr DJ and I are finally starting to get into our stride here in LA.

mr DJ in the foreground, Vandalyzm, Outasight and Cook backstage at the Roxy.

the crowd was EXTRA live .. Machine Gun Kelly's got some loyal supporters.

he played two of the most awesome venues, the Roxy and Low End Theory
and I've got 2 incredible vending events coming up this weekend, and next--
the following week at Artwalk, and the week after that.

PHEW!!

If you can't make it to any of the events, that's fine...
but you'll miss out on some goodies that will never be available online.

juicy druzy necklaces on plated chain ...perfect for Summer.

and several new feather earrings and ear cuffs that I've been working on this week in between orders!

i'm trying out some new display techniques too!
planning for live shows is MORE than a full-time job
if you're doing it right.

...and you KNOW I had to devote some time to some new items.. I can't list them all, but here are a few
:

and much love to Amber over at AfroPunk for the fiece interview!!! LOVE that blog.

studio snapshots II

love love

happy friday :)

we looooove seeing our "down on the delta" necklace, big brass agate cuff, and sterling "polyhedron" pyramid ring shining oh so brightly on Ashley Tisdale during her shoot with Zooey Mag! What a rush!

it's a 1:40 vid .. and from what I see? Miss girl can WORK IT!

the mag is on stands now, and sold at Barnes and Noble.

i'm going to snag a bunch of copies tonight, so I can surprise my mom on Mums Day :)

i decided to make myself a dainty little body chain that can be worn everyday, under clothes, etc.
i used tiny brass chain.

the end result was so perfect, i decided to jazz it up a bit... and voila!

i added a trail of ankhs.

what I love most about the piece is the way it peeks out from my silk plunge-neck mini-dress.
...right at the top. very mystique ;)

there's also a chain that wraps around your waist, as you can see. the chain looks adorable, falling near the small of your back, especially in crop tops.

if you want to rock yours to the beach, i'd suggest requesting one in gold. so it will be unaffected by salt-water.

i'll be selling these at the UCLA Jazz Fest, because It'll be the perfect thing for women to slide on right away to take those festival outfits to 10!

this adorable single feather earrings hangs from a 14kt gold hook
and is 2 of a kind.

that's it for me!

mr DJ is doing a show in St Louis this weekend.. so if you're around, stop by the Gramophone and say hi tomorrow night!

as for me, I'm road-trippin down the coast to go visit moms in San Diego.
enjoy your weekend.
kiss your mom.

...and here's 1 of the several "peaces" I'm workin' on today!

....right after I return from the beach, that is.

God bless the artists...

I say that because it takes huge amounts of courage to even THINK you can center your life
around your dreams.

...let alone pursue it.

For all the good times you have, the freedom, the constant lessons, etc,
there are hard times.

Times when you second guess yourself, or wonder "what the fuck am I DOING?"
Times when you realize you're delaying starting family, or moving to a bigger place,

....all for your dreams.

I salute all the artists who spend every moment of their lives manifesting those dreams, in spite of the nay-sayers, your ego, or the occasional reality-check.

...cuz the shit AIN'T easy.

..speaking of amazing artists pursuing their dreams, my Nakimuli dookie bracelets came the other day! I'm rockin' em with my "Key to the City" stud earrings.

Big hair, don't care.

these sold mere minutes after I posted them ... and they were 1 of a kind.

i combined a vintage collar with a vintage coral/lapis pendant from Tibet.

and much love to Tia, my LA homegirl, for rockin' the HELL outta my "Animalia" ostrich feathers.
i'd love for someone to paint this photo, so I can buy it and hang it on my wall.

thanks ;)

speaking of LA... our weather is between 78-85 for the next 5 days.

if you need me, I'll be the fly sista laid out by the shoreline.

gone fishin'.

xo.
